SDS Career Advisor at JYHS

Lisa Galloway is the Skills Development Scotland Careers Adviser working in partnership with our school.

Lisa offers a range of support to help students develop their Career Management Skills at any stage of their schooling and beyond. Throughout your time at school, you will make some big decisions about your future, and that is where Skills Development Scotland's Careers Advisers come in.

Lisa works with our school to give you the careers support you need. Through a combination of group sessions, one-to-one interviews and drop-in times, Lisa will help you to explore how your personality, interests and values are key to making the right career decisions. She can also support you to develop and use your talents and skills, explore where they could take you, and identify who can help you with your career journey.

Location: Lisa is based in the Careers Room which is on the on the Library Corridor.

Working Days: Lisa is available in school Monday Wednesday & Thursday all day (08:45 - 14:45)and Tuesday Periods 5& 6 during term time.

Times: There is the opportunity for students to attend 1:1 person appointments during periods 1 to 6 (08:45 - 14:45).
