Theatre Performance for S1

11 March
Lifeboat

On Tuesday 10 March our S1s enjoyed a fantastic live theatre performance of Lifeboat, this is the extraordinary true story of Bess Walder and Beth Cummings set in World War II. The two girls spent 19 terrifying hours in the water on an upturned lifeboat following the torpedoing of their ship, The City of Benares. The ship was evacuating 90 children from Liverpool to Canada, only 11 children survived.  Our S1 pupils were attentive and enjoyed the fast paced show with two actors portraying what it was like to be evacuated.
