To celebrate World Book Day on Thursday 5 March 2020, Mrs. Wilson our school librarian has organised some fantastic activities  

Tutor Quiz  Lollies are up for grabs for the class with the best score.

D.E.A.R. lunchtime in the library - Thursday 5th we are having a Drop Everything And Read lunchtime in the library. Prizes up fro grabs for those caught reading.

World Book Day Tokens - Given to S1 to S3 pupils via English, there are also some available to pick up from the library.

Author visit 18th  - Melinda Salisbury (author of The Sin Eater's Daughter series) is coming in to promote her new book (published this month). Open to all and free to attend sign up forms can be picked up in the library.

Secret Book Club - Struggle to find a book you fancy? Want to try something new? Get a hand-picked library book based on your preferences and a bookish goodies for free. Wednesday 4th is the last day for sign up for this month. Forms in library. Missed deadline don't panic just sign up and get the next one.

Babysitting Bags - Launching on Thursday these bags with books and activities to occupy kids aged 6 and under are available to borrow from the library. 

Library Releases - lots of new books are being added to stock this month, plus we've moved some stuff around so if you haven't popped in for a wee while now is a great chance to do so and see what's new. 

Staff get involved are getting involved by  

  • Take part in the book bingo challenge running from January until June. 
  • Pop up library in the staff room- it's back for World Book Day!
  • Displaying signs saying what they are currently reading and adding this info to their email signature
