Web Design Fundamentals
This course introduces candidates to the knowledge and skills, and technical and design issues involved in web design.
This Course has three units:
- Web Design Fundamentals
- Interactive Multimedia for Website Development
- Web Design and Development
Candidates will gain an understanding of design principles, copyright law and technical standards. They will also gain practical skills in a range of software applications used in the development of websites, including graphics packages, web authoring tools and animation software.
Some highlights include:
- Technical and legal considerations, copyright, design principles, HTML, file formats, accessibility and usability
- Optimising web graphics, scanning, digital photography, image editing and compression
- Web page creation, authoring tools, HTML, uploading webpages to a server
- Planning and creating animation for the web, storyboarding, audio
- Planning, designing, building and testing a website to client requirements, copyright, design principles, HTML, file formats, accessibility and usability
