LEAPS - "Startsmart"

LEAPS will be running a brand new summer programme called "Startsmart!" Running for two weeks in July, Startsmart will offer students the opportunity to experience some university academic skills teaching, some subject teaching and a chance to take part in organised social activities and make friends ahead of starting their studies in the Autumn.

Startsmart will be based at the University of Edinburgh central campus and is open to any student who is holding an offer through UCAS for a 2019 start. Startsmart is completely free of charge and LEAPS will also cover the cost of students travel. In addition there are also 15 residential places up for grabs to allow some students to stay on campus! This programme will thoroughly prepare this students for the transition to their University courses.
